Jeff was raised in the southeastern Indiana town of North Vernon. He was the middle child of five.
He had 88 first cousins, most of them living within 20 miles of one another, so family was a big part of his childhood. It taught him many valuable life lessons.
He married the love of his life, Kimberly Leeann Kern, of Bedford in 1989. Their family consists of three daughters (Jarrin, Natalie, Sarah), two sons (Nate, Dawson) a ward (Dajuan), two sons-in-law (Pete, Bryan), three granddaughters (Kiley, Kailey, Avery), a grandson (Aiden), two dogs (Galileo, Ginger), a cat (Miss Kitty) and a guinea pig (Mr. Bubbles).
Jeff has been the pastor at Little Union since 2016. He also has been a hospice chaplain with Franciscan at Indianapolis since 2014.
He received his associate's degree from Brunswick Junior College (now known as The College of Coastal Georgia), his bachelor's from Indiana University and his master's from Summit Theological Seminary.
